CONSIDERATION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEDGWICK COUNTY AND THE CITY OF WICHITA FOR THE TRANSFER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $123,706.13.

On September 17, 2014, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office was notified of a grant award in the form of a Cooperative Agreement from the Department of Justice to continue funding operations of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce. The taskforce includes two detectives, one from the Sheriff's Office and one from the Wichita Police Department (WPD). This agreement provides the mechanism whereby the County can reimburse the City of Wichita for grant-related costs of the WPD detective that were included in the approved grant award budget. Based on the approved budget, the County will reimburse the City of Wichita no more than $123,706.13 for costs related to the ICAC Taskforce operations for the period 7/1/2014 through 6/30/2015.
