Title
Addition of a new position to the Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department's (MABCD) staffing table.
Body
Recommended Action: Approve the requested changes to the staffing table.
The 2015 adopted budget included the addition of a new position to DIO-IT to assist in addressing the IT related aspects of consolidating code enforcement operations between the City of Wichita and Sedgwick County into the MABCD. Instead of playing a role as only application support, this position will require dual skills in both application support and programming in order to support the existing system, design and implement enhancements using SQL/ASP.net/VB.net/Visual Studio, creating new interfaces with the County's financial and GIS systems, and potentially migrating the system to the County's data center. Consequently, the job responsibilities are aligned with the responsibilities of an IT Architect position.
