Recommended Action: Approve the employment agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Adele Dunn has 14 years of experience in HR, including responsibility for employee relations and conducting investigations, which is what the Management Analyst II position will be handling. Offering a one-time issuance of five (5) days of banked paid vacation leave at date of hire will increase our ability to attract a strong, qualified candidate.

Financial Considerations: Additional week of vacation equates to $959 salary dollars at her current salary. Sufficient budget authority exists in cost center 81002-110 to fund the recommended action.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. A simple majority vote is required.
Policy Considerations: Exceptions to policy 4.700 (Vacation) must be approved by Board of County Commissioners
