Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign it.
Higher Ground receives a portion of the behavioral health funding provided by the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) to assist the Sedgwick County Department of Corrections with targeting offenders with mental health and substance abuse issues. The original agreement was approved by the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners on November 13, 2013. This amendment states that Sedgwick County will provide a secure information exchange and electronic portal for clinical and demographic information on mutual clients for the purpose of tracking behavioral health services and client outcomes.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority vote is required.
