Body

This is the second and last public hearing regarding the 2015 Fire District 1 budget recommended at $17,627,925, which includes a property tax levy of $15,112,206. The property tax levy is approximately equivalent to a property tax rate, expressed in mills, of 18.348 mills. The mill rate is based on the estimated assessed valuation and is subject to review and technical adjustments.

On July 23, the Board of County Commissioners set the maximum property tax levy that can be used to fund the 2015 Sedgwick County budget. The first public budget hearing was held on July 30, and budget adoption is scheduled for August 13.
