Recommended Action: Approve the amendment to the 2014 Capital Improvement Program.
Construction of this project was scheduled in the CIP for 2015, but the design was inadvertently left out of the CIP. The bridge is currently posted for 3 Tons and needs to stay on the replacement schedule for 2015. Public Works is requesting amendment of the CIP to include the design work in 2014. A consultant has been selected for the project. In order to proceed with the contract, the CIP must be amended.
Alternatives: Take such action as the Board deems appropriate.
Financial Considerations: The project can be funded from savings in a CIP project that has already been completed. The source is B447: 21575-231 $50,000.
Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners is authorized to amend the Capital Improvement Program under K.S.A. 19-120.
