A RESOUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER AND USE OF MONEY FROM THE REGISTER OF DEEDS TECHNOLOGY FUND PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 28-115a.

Recommended Action: Adopt the resolution and authorize the Chairman to sign.

In accordance with K.S.A 28-115a, the Register of Deeds has determined that the balance in the Register of Deeds Technology Fund at the end of the 2013 calendar year is greater than $50,000, and that $300,000.00 is not needed by the Register of Deeds office for technology purpose. K.S.A. 28-115a thereby provides the Board with the authority to transfer those funds from the Register of Deeds Technology Fund to a County fund to be used by other County offices for equipment or technological services relating to the land or property records filed or maintained by the County

Financial Considerations: Funds will be transferred through an interfund transfer for the Register of Deeds Land Technology Fund, 65001-236, to the Land Technology Enhancement Fund, 77001-237
