Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Sedgwick County Corrections Juvenile Field Services have leased approximately 16,180 square feet at 3803 E. Harry St. since 2009. This is a two year lease amendment with an effective date of August 15, 2014. Monthly lease cost will remain the same under this amendment with an annual cost of $128,307 ($7.93 SF).
The lease has the option of automatic renewals extending the term for succesive one-year agreements beginning August 15, 2016 with the same terms and conditions.
Alternatives: The BoCC could choose not to approve the lease amendment, in which case Corrections Juvenile Field Services would need to relocate staff from this location.
Financial Considerations: The lease rate remains the same.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. A simple majority vote is required.
