Title
Approval of an estimate from The Sedgwick County Electric Cooperative Association to relocate electric facilities in private easement for CIP Project B-465.  District 2.

Body
Recommended Action: Approve the estimate and authorize payment of actual expenses incurred upon completion of the relocation.

B-465 will replace the bridge on 87th Street South between Hoover Road and Ridge Road.  The project is scheduled for letting and construction in 2014.  The Sedgwick County Electric Cooperative Association has electric lines located in private easement that is adjacent to the existing public right of way.  Additional right of way has been obtained for construction of the project and Public Works has asked that the electric utility relocate their lines to provide clearance for the new bridge.  State law allows the Board of County Commissioners to approve an estimate for relocation and then pay the actual expenses upon completion of the work.

Alternatives:  None

Financial Considerations:  The Sedgwick County Electric Cooperative Association has estimated that the relocation will cost $32,500.  CIP Project R-134 provides funding for miscellaneous right of way acquisitions and utility relocation expenses.  The acutal cost of this relocation will be funded from R-134.
