This agenda items seeks approval of the Amended State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2014 contract between KDADS and Community Developmental Disability Organizations (CDDO). If approved, this amended contract will be effective from January 1, 2014 through June 30, 2014, unless the term is changed with approval of both parties. This anticipated contract amendment addresses changes of CDDO management of Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Waiver Funding with the inclusion of Intellectual and Developmental Disability services in KanCare beginning on January 1, 2014.
Alternatives: The contract could be rejected in its current form with instruction to the department to pursue other options for local system management. In this case the State could withhold payment to the CDDO impacting the ability to pay service providers or support CDDO operations.
Financial Considerations: The funding in this contract will support administrative expenses budgeted in 32010-251, 32012-251, and 32013-251.
Funds will also be allocated for contractual payments to providers as indicated:
32010-251 - Quality Assurance $ 230,843.00
32012-251 - Service Access and Outreach $ 490,427.00
32013-251 - Admin/Finance CDDO Administration $ 990,791.00
32011-251 - Consumer Services (State General Funds for Children) $ 45,866.00
32009-251 - State Aid $ 1,121,807.00
