The proposed project budget and total amount requested is $65,000.
-$20,000 for exhibit development: Includes museum staff time for curatorial work, design, construction and administrative expense. Also includes costs associated with public summits conducted to guide concept as well as consulting costs.
-$20,000 for exhibit cases.
-$15,000 for interactive digital images including exhibit kiosk and similar web visitor accessible content.
-$10,000 for the remodel of space including electrical, includes applicable tax.
Alternatives: Do not approve the contract.
Financial Considerations: Total cost is $65,000 to be paid from the Board of County Commissioners Operating Fund. The one-time grant payment is to be funded with a transfer from BOCC contingency funds.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. A simple majority vote is required.
