Parking lease agreement with Pixius Communications, LLC.

Recommended Action: Approve the lease and authorize the Chairman to sign.
In March, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners approved a lease with Pixius Communication, LLC, for non-exclusive parking on property owned by Sedgwick County on the northeast corner of 2nd Street and St. Francis Street in Wichita. In November, 2013, the County sold said property and now desires to put in place a new lease for non-exclusive parking for Pixius customers and employees in the County owned parking lot located on the southeast corner of 2nd Street and St. Francis Street in Wichita.
Alternatives: The BOCC could choose not to approve the lease, in which case another method for approving the lease with Pixius would need to be found.
Financial Considerations: This a no-cost lease. As described in the attached lease in more detail, the County is responsible for reasonably maintaining the County property in substantially its current condition.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
Policy Considerations: Approval of this lease follows established County policy.
