Title
Amendment to a Work Study Agreement with a COMCARE Employee.

Body
Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Background: COMCARE has a work study agreement in place with one of their employees to help them obtain an increased level of licensure. This amendment changes the agreement to reflect updates in policy by COMCARE, requiring the employee to only continue full-time employment with COMCARE for one year for each year of the paid work study placement.

Alternatives: Should this amendment not be approved, the current work study placement agreement with the COMCARE employee will remain in place with the outdated repayment requirements.

Financial Considerations: No additional costs are created through this amendment. If the employee fails to meet the one-year requirement, the agreement calls for repayment to COMCARE of $450 per month short of the one year.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority is required.

Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies were followed in the development of this amendment.
