PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DR. DEBORAH BERGEN FOR CHILD PSYCHIATRY SERVICES.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the agreement and authorize the chairman to sign.

COMCARE has contracted with Dr. Bergen for child psychiatry services since 2009. Dr. Bergen is a licensed adolescent/child psychiatrist who has agreed to provide professional psychiatry services for the COMCARE Children’s Services program sixteen hours per week at the rate of $145 per hour. Most recently, Dr. Bergen has been in private practice with First Step, Inc and also is the Medical Director for Cientifica, LTD.
Alternatives:
Adolescent/child psychiatrists are in short supply. COMCARE purchases additional adolescent/child psychiatry services from contractors in order to meet the needs of clients served through our Children’s Services program. The services provided by contractors, like Dr. Bergen, supplement the work of our medical provider employees and provide needed access to important medical services for our clients.
