Lease Amendment for month-to-month lease option between Market Parking, Inc. and Sedgwick County COMCARE for leased property at 7701 E. Kellogg, Suite 300.

Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign the amendment exercising the month-to-month term starting August 1, 2013.  
 
Sedgwick County COMCARE has leased approximately 11,617 square feet of space at 7701 E. Kellogg, Suite 300 since 1997.  This location provides space for the Family and Children Community Services.  The month-to-month lease term would begin on August 1, 2013 and must provide 30 day notice for lease termination.
Alternatives:  The BoCC could choose to not approve the month-to-month lease option, in which case COMCARE would need to relocate staff at this location.
Financial Considerations:  The lease rate is being increased by .16 cents per square foot bringing the montly lease rate from  $11,462.11 per month to $11,617.      
 
Legal Considerations:  The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq.  A simple majority vote is required.
